THE OCCURRENCE OF TWIN SEEDLINGS IN CORDIA MYXA L.

摘要

During the course of study of seed germination and seedling growth of Cordia myxa, it was noted that maximum seeds gave rise to normal seedlings while some seeds of Cordia myxa had shown teratological behaviour. The normal seeds give rise to only oneseedling wherein only one radicle emerged out of the seed whereas the poly-embryonic seeds possess twin seedlings wherein two radicles emerged out of single seed.
