摘要

Periodical surveys of selected localities of teak plantations infested with the teak leaf defoliator. Hyblaea puera Cramer and skeletonizer, Eutectona machaeralis (Walk.) were conducted during the period of infestation i.e. from July to October. The entomopathogenic fungi isolated from dead larvae of H. puera were identified as Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vaillenim, Metarhizium anisopliae (Metchn.) Sorkin, Acremonium zeylanicum (Fetch.) and Aspergillus flavus Link.; and from the larvae of teak skeletonizer, E. machaeralis (Wik.) as B. bassiana, Fusarium oxysporium Schlecht and A. flavus Link. The pathogenicity test confirmed their efficiency against the above pests in laboratory.
