Use of the Coal of GZh (gas-fat) Rank Produced by the Kaa-Khem Strip Coalmine as a Component of a Coking Charge

As the coal of GZh (gas-fat) rank produced by the Kaa-Khem Strip Coalmine has a caking capacity higher than the coal concentrate of G (gas) rank produced by the Kirov Coal Preparation Plant, the latter can be partially replaced by the former in the charge for the coking operation. This conclusion is obviously supported by the obtained results of the coke tests. The replacement of the coal concentrate of GZh (gas-fat) rank produced by the Raspadskaya Coal Preparation Plant by the coal of GZh (gas-fat) rank produced by the Kaa-Khem Strip Coalmine did not cause any significant changes in the quality of the coke. The M_(25) mechanical strength was shown to remain at the same level.
