Hot Repair of Refractory Linings in Coke Furnaces by Means of Surfacing Mixtures

Constant repair of the refractory lining is required in the furnaces of any enterprise producing metallurgical coke. At OAO Zapadno-Sibirskii Metallurgicheskii Kombinat (ZSMK), coke batteries 3,4, 5, and 6 exceeded their expected working lives in 1967, 1968, and 1971, respectively.
