There are many publications on the petrographic composition and processes that occur during metamorphism [1, 2, 4-6]. All these authors used essentially the same approach, which is to correlate the petrographic composition with some stage of metamorphism or some coal grade, while correlating the processes that occur during metamorphism with the total organic matter of the coals. However, they disregard the fact that the composition and properties of the overwhelming majority of petrographic microcomponents have been studied and found to differ from one another. There are different viewpoints on the processes that occur during metamorphism. For example, the coalification mechanism proposed by Kasatochkin and Larina [1] involves a change in conditions from "destracturizing" to "structurizing."
