Polymetallic complexes. Part-CI: Dlmeric and tetrameric Co~(II), Ni~(II), Cu~(II), Zn~(II), Cd~(II) and Hg~(II) complexes with tetra and octadentate azodye ligands

Six dimeric and six tetrameric complexes of Co~(II), Ni~(II), Cu~(II), Zn~(II), Cd~(II) and Hg~(II) with one tetradentate andone octadentate ligand having donor atoms have been synthesized andcharacterized by elemental analysis, conductance, magnetic susceptibility, IR, electronic, NMR spectra and X-ray diffraction studies. The Co~(II)and Ni~(II) complexes are octahedral, Cu~(II) complexes are distorted octahedral and a tetrahedral geometry has been assigned to Zn~(II), Cd~(II) and Hg~(II) complexes.
