A simple paper chromatographic technique for detection of different types of histones in the unirradiated and gamma irradiated states in vitro

Paper chromatographic technique has been employed to detect low levels (20-25 mug/ml) of H_1, H_3 and H_4 histones under physiological pH range in the native, heat denatured and gamma irradiated states (10-50 Gy). The R_f values obtained for these histones under different experimental conditions have rendered insight about the configurational alterations.
