摘要

The function generator is an instrument which generates continues signals. They are classified as analog and digital function generator. In the present work a low cost Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) based Digital Function Generator is designed using the microcontrollers, DDS module and wideband amplifier. The function generator uses direct digital synthesis technique to generate waveform. The Microcontroller is interfaced with the DDS module which sends commands to the DDS module to generate the desired frequency. The signal generated by the DDS module is fed to wideband amplifier, which amplifies the signal to few volts. The touch screen is interfaced with the microcontroller through which user sets the frequency. The function generator is tested and found to be working satisfactorily.
