摘要

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology is playing a key role in all innovative wireless applications because of its low cost and deployment simplicity. This paper presents a low cost ZigBee based WSN implementation for environmental monitoring in a home automation application. A ZigBee mesh network is used for monitoring parameters like ambient temperature and light intensity inside a home. The hardware and software framework and related programming are discussed in this paper. The results of light intensity and temperature measurements are presented.
