摘要

This paper presents a new and simple technique for the design of supplementary SVS system damping controller to damp all unstable modes of subsynchronous resonance oscillations at all series compensation levels. The method is applied to the first IEEE benchmark model for subsynchronous resonance studies. Eigenvalue analysis of the linearized system model and a method based on all mode frequency technique proved the effectiveness of the controller in damping the multi-mode SSR oscillations, at all series compensation levels, using derivative of bus frequency and multi signals available at SVS bus and transmission line.
