摘要

Reactions of Au(III) with biomolecules are of interest in relationto understanding the mechanism of ac- tion of therapeutic goldcompounds. NMR investigations of ~13C and ~15N isotopically-labelledglycine and alanine show that Au(III) induces deamination andsubsequent decarboxylation of both amino acids with the samemechanism. For comparison, reactions of Au(III) with sarcosine andthe dicarboxylic acid malonic acid were also investigated. The majorintermediates and products have been identified.
