摘要

This article presents a simulation of the working of an underground coal mine adopting bord and pillar system of mining. The caving method has been used for the extraction of pillars in the depillaring stage. The panel has thirty six pillars of 30m X 30m dimension (centre-to-centre) in four rows. The objective of the present study is to predict the induced stresses with the advancing line of the goaf edge. Three dimension numerical modelling based on finite element method (FEM) has been used for the simulation of these structures. The model has been simulated in six stages at a regular interval.
