Nanotechnology for Precision Agriculture

I am quite delighted and deeply honoured to deliver the 17th Dr. B.V. Mehta Memorial Lecture organized by the Indian Society of Soil Science (ISSS) Thirussur Chapter, College of Horticulture, Kerala Agricultural University, for the year 2013. Indeed,this is one of the greatest opportunities provided to me by the ISSS to present a special lecture being organized each year since 1997 in the memory of the late Dr. B.V. Mehta, a renowned soil scientists who devoted major part of his research on micronutrients and response studies in a wide array of crops. The ISSS has assigned me to present a topic on “Nanotechnology for Precision Agriculture” on this special occation that may open up innovative ideas in the frontier or niche areas of agricultural research.
