NOISE EMISSION LEVELS IN GREEK WOOD AND FURNITURE PROCESSING INDUSTRY

摘要

The noise emission levels in wood and furniture processing industry in Thessaly area in central Greece were examined. It was revealed that employees are exposed in higher than the permissible noise limits on a daily basis, which can cause hearing loss and may cause other harmful health effects. A comprehensive hearing conservation program should be implemented in order to protect these employees from excessive noise exposures in the workplace.
