Incorporation of Ziegler-Natta catalyst components. Structures and reactivity of the intermediates [Review]

Selected results of our last years research on Ziegler-Natta heterogeneous catalyst components are summarized to provide a perspective view of the area. Since the amount of information regarding the topic is enormous we have focused on alkoxy compounds that have become more and more interesting for the polymer industry. In this context single crystal X-ray crystallography is considered a very valuable and informative method. The presented summary may be useful in predicting trends for the development of new catalysts of this type. [References: 111]
