摘要

PTFE-based composites containing SiC and nano-CuO powder, were prepared by compression molding at room temperature. This paper is mainly focused on effects of SiC, nano-CuO addition ratio and sliding speed, loading on the frictional properties of PTFE composites. Box-Behnken design, an experimental design for response surface methodology (RSM), was used to create a set of 15 experimental runs needed for optimizing the operating conditions. The results show that not all of interaction factors are influencing the effect of friction and wear of PTFE composites, which is very significant. The optimal conditions are that SiC and nano-CuO addition ratio is 2.9:1, sliding speed is 2 m/s and loading is 64 N.
