Professor Ernst Niedermeyer: electroencephalography's pioneer and World leader.

Professor Ernst Freidrich Leopold Niedermeyer, an active and enthusiastic member of the editorial board of Clinical EEG and Neuroscience for many years, died in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, this spring. After a long and productive life of amazing challenges and tremendous accomplishments, he was surrounded by his family and friends when he died at the age of 92. Up until his last days, he was still pondering, and engaged in, the mysteries and wonders of brain disorders and electroencephalography (EEG), which were his passions.
