摘要

We have established in [1, 2] that a diffraction pattern of a polycrystalline substance in parallel with an ordinary diffraction spectrum due to crystallographic planes, exhibits a second spectrum also in the monochromatic CuKa radiation. The latter is due to coordination spheres (CS) of the substance, i.e. due to a set of its interatomic spacings (similarly to the first one), which corresponds to a set of interplanar spacings. This spectrum consists of some diffuse halos as opposed to the first spectrum which is a series of well-defined lines. For a single crystal, the spectrum due to CS (the DCS spectrum) will reveal itself just as for a polycrystal, while the spectrum from the planes will be nonexistent in the general case, which is well known.
