The paper presents the results of investigation of the pattern of influence of process parameters (argon pressure, temperature, and time of isothermal holding) of thermal compression treatment under pressure up to 4.5 MPa on the quality parameters and wear mechanisms of replaceable cutting inserts of SNMM 250724 form made of T5K10 cemented carbide (Pobedit production plant) in rough turning of rolled billets for railroad car axles.
