Vincent W. Archer

Archer, for 37 years the chairman and, for the first decades, the entire staff of the radiology department at the University of Virginia. He did not found the department. That happened in 1919, when Dr Archer was a medical student at the university. Robert G. Wiatt, the founder, was killed in an automobile accident in 1923.
