AMS 3095A for AkzoNobel Direct to Metal Paint System

AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has reported qualification to Aerospace Material Specification AMS 3095A of a Direct to Metal (DTM), Base Coat/Clear Coat system. A Direct to Metal system eliminates the need to use any kind of metal pre-treatment such as alodine, solgel or wash primer technologies. The primer is applied directly to the clean Scotch-Brited substrate. The primer itself provides the necessary adhesion and corrosion resistance to meet the stringent specification requirements.
