BASF sells its silicones business

BASF (Mount Olive,New Jersey) has exited the North American silicones market by selling its surfactant manufacturing plant to petroferm Inc.(Fernandina Beach,Florida) and its North American-based silicones business to The Lubrizol Corp.(Cleveland,Ohio).
