The aim of the entire six-volume handbook,as summarized in the "Handbook Introduction," is to provide a state-of-the-art treatise on all aspects of detergents with a very practical focus,written by experts,primarily from industry.This emphasis on the practical is clearly in evidence in "Part C," which comprises fourteen chapters.Waldhoff and Spilker,in their Preface,clearly state that they intend to "demonstrate the state of the art of strategies,methods,and techniques applied for the analytical deformulation of modern detergents."
