摘要

A carbon nanotube has been simulated in the form of a cylindrical layer with a given dielectric function, taking into account the temporal dispersion of the medium. Quantization of the intrinsic electrical oscillations of a carbon nanotube electron subsystem has been performed. The polarization potential, which arises when a charged particle moves near a carbon nanotube, has been calculated and the energy loss caused by the excitation of surface plasmons has been obtained.
