The subjects of this study are to establish an efficient method for synthesizing the turbulent wind field on long-span bridges. Based on an auto-regressive moving average (ARMA) scheme involving square matrices of order n and Kamail's turbulence power spectrum, an approach is presented for synthesizing the stochastic wind field for long-span bridges. This simulation method can consider the spatial and temporal variations of wind speeds. The simulated wind field is found to compare fairly well with target values.
