This meeting, which focuses on aquaculture, contains 52 meeting presentation abstracts, all written in English. Selected topics include studies on interaction between shellfish aquaculture and submerged aquatic vegetation, quantification of ecosystem interactions of molluscan aquaculture, habitat impacts of shellfish aquaculture, shrimp farming in the northeastern United States, field trials of genetic lines of bay scallops, metal concentrations in the sediment of the lower Housatonic River estuary, energy efficiency improvements in algal growth systems, management practices for the shellfish aquaculture industry, hazard assessment of amnesic shellfish poisoning, measurement of ecological impact of shellfish cultivation and harvest, DNA-based research and selective breeding of the bay scallop and homeostatic capabilities of oyster hemocytes exposed to acidic conditions in vivo and in vitro.
