Hempel is aiming to expand capacity in emerging markets - namely India, Saudi Arabia and Russia - as well as look for new investment opportunities. Chief executive Pierre-Yves JuUien wants to build on recent acquisitions -Blome International, a US-based protective coatings manufacturer, acquired in July last year and Crown Paints, a strong decorative brand in the UK and Ireland, acquired the previous year - and has the financial wherewithal to do so.
