Minimotif Miner

摘要

Motifs are short,conserved protein sequences that can serve as sites for post-translational modifications and protein-protein interactions.In addition,motifs can function as signals for protein trafficking.Martin Schiller and co-workers at the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Health Center have developed a web-based motif search tool called Minimotif Miner (MnM) and a motif database to enable researchers to locate short-sequence motifs in proteins.
