NON-HORMONAL METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZATION OF ESTRUS AT THE ANESTROUS SEASON OF EWES OF MILK TYPE

In 2004 for a second year in succession a scheme of estrus synchronization was applied without using hormonal preparations at the anestrous season, to ewes of milk type in a private farm in the town of Rakovski, district of Plovdiv. A number of 128 ewes were included in the experiment. In 2004 the feeding regime was the same as in 2003 (Yankov and col., 2004). The difference between the two experiments consisted in that in 2004 the ewes and rams were not treated two times with 5 cm~3 and 10 cm~3 (AD_3 E), respectively 15 days before the beginning of mating campaign, as the procedure applied in 2003.
