STUDY ON FORMS OF TURKISH HAZEL (C. COLURNA L.)

摘要

The grafting of hazelnut cultivars on a root-stock of Turkish hazel (C cornula L) is the way of formation which deserves to be the most applied one in the practice because of its indisputable advantages from environmental perspective and its comparatively earliest stepping in fruit bearing In the present experiment are studied four forms of Turkish hazel with the aim to be included in appropriate cultivar-rootstock combination.The obtained results allow us to draw the following conclusions A great part of the seedlings from forms 29/5 18/4 and 13/5 are good for grafting root-stocks even at the end of the first vegetation.The seedling from forms 29/5, 18/4 and 13/5 have more vigorous rate of growing and are suitable for testing as root-stocks in optimally chosen cultivar-rootstock combinations Most of the seedlings of form 21.4 need additional growing one year more whichmakes it inapplicable in practise.
