摘要

A review of literature related to the process of fluorination of uranium dioxide and physical properties of the compounds involved (uranium hexafluoride, fluorine, uranium dioxide and argon) is presented. It is pointed out that there exist strong indications that the maximum rate of fluorination of uranium dioxide can be achieved at temperatures above 540 deg C. Particular attention is focused on the study of transport properties of argon-fluorine plasma.
