Teck to sell 6.3 mil mt of met coal in Q2 at $202/mt

Canadian coking coal miner Teck has agreed to sell 6.3 million mt of coal in the second quarter of 2012 at an average 202 dollars/mt, compared to sales of 5.305 million mt at an average 223 dollars/mt in Q1, the Vancouver-based company said Tuesday. Teck said its highest quality product was priced at 206 dollars/mt. The company's coal prices are understood to be based on FOB western Canada.
