Erratum: Double barrel fibula vascularized free flap with dental rehabilitation for mandibular reconstruction (Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 69 (2663-2669))

Aggressive behavior, including tooth resorption, gross bone expansion, and pain are rarely seen, and few CCOTs have the potential to perforate the cortical bone and expand into the soft tissues.1 Because the lesions are benign and slowly growing, major reconstruction after facial resection is rarely indicated. The diagnostic workup and treatment usually includes panoramic radiography, computed tomography, and biopsy for histo-pathologic analysis, followed by surgical removal using an enucleation procedure. Occasional recurrences have been described.4 This case, however, was a giant CCOT involving the mid-face and orbit of a 'woman. The diagnostic workup, resection, and reconstruction are discussed.
