The generation of multi-atom entanglement via the detection of cavity decay

We propose a scheme to generate entangled states of multi-Λ-type three-level atoms in a cavity. It is shown how multi-atom Dicke states can be prepared simply by detecting the photon decays from the cavity. The analytic form of the approximate efficiency of the scheme is obtained. With this analytic form investigated, we provide an active way to achieve high efficiency.
