The magnitude of genetic variability andinter-relationships were studied for yield and itscomponent characters in 80 germplasm lines ofyellow sarson (Brassica rapa var. yellow sarson) intwo environments. Higher estimates of phenotypicand genotypic coefficients of variability were recordedfor seed yield/ plant and number of siliquae/plant inboth the environments. High heritability along withhigh genetic advance were recorded for seedyield/plant, number of siliquae/plant and number ofprimary branches/plant. Correlation and path analysisrevealed that plant height and number ofsiliquae/plant were the key yield contributingcharacters under study.
