Designing and testing wide-angle IR objectives

This paper discusses the design and testing of wide-angle IR objectives that operate in the 3-5 μm and 8-12 μm spectral regions, intended for panoramic surveillance systems. A technique is described for measuring distortion, using a photodetector array.
