New Machine for Blasting Laser and Flame Cut Parts: Continuous and Thorough Descaling of Small Components

A new wire-mesh-belt shotblasting machine has been developed for descaling laser and flame cut parts. After passing through the machine, all the components are uniformly blasted on all sides and free from dust and shot. Scale must be removed from the cut surfaces of laser and flame cut parts before they can go on for further processing. In addition, a consistent surface structure on the blasted parts is essential for the subsequent welding and coating processes. At this year's Euroblech trade exhibition, a new wire-mesh-belt machine for processing parts of this kind was presented for the first time.
