To The Readership: An error occurred during preparation of the paper "A single center's experience with the bedside subdural evacuating port system: a useful alternative to traditional methods for chronic subdural hema-toma evacuation. Clinical article" (J Neurosurg 118:694-700,2013).At the initial publication, an author's name was printed as Clemens S. Schirmer, M.D., Ph.D. This is incorrect; Dr. Schirmer's middle initial is "M."
