SECL has proved the pundits wrong who believethat mining leaves behind a scar on the beautiful face ofenvironment after exploiting the mineral wealth from the bowelsof mother earth. The concern for environment and ultimateendeavour of the company to gratefully pay back to the nature thepre-mining flora and fauna after extracting the nature's wealth hasalready been recognised as one of the most eco-friendly miningorganisation in the country and SECL has been awarded the "IndiraPriyadarshini Vriksha Mitra" award for 1992-93 and againprestigious "Third Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Award" for"Excellence in Pollution Control" in 1996.
