Bucyrus & Cliffs Unveil America's First Modern Automated Longwall Plow System

On July 20, the Boards of Directors and Senior Management of Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. and Bucyrus International, Inc., co-hosted an event to celebrate the delivery of the United States' first modern automated plow system with a ceremonial unveiling at the Bucyrus facility in Houston, PA. Press and invited guests were given the opportunity to view the longwall plow system up close above ground before it is installed in Cliffs' Pinnacle Mine near Pineville, West Virginia. The presentations were followed by a live operating demonstration of the system.
