NO MATTER WHAT THE SHOW MOST GO ON!

What best defines the Bluefield Coal Show is its continued success, no matter what the situation in the coal industry. Some years back, we can recall a traumatic time in our history when 9/11 struck at almost the same time as the 2001 show. The event scheduled for Sept. 12-14 was delayed, and teetering on cancellation but, out of consideration for exhibitors who had already invested heavily, it was continued. Surprisingly, everybody came and the show went on for another successful year, although saddened by the despicable terrorist attack.
