Identification of mechanical parameters of hard-coating materials with strain-dependence

摘要

When analyzing the dynamics of the hard-coating composite structure, it is necessary to determine the mechanical parameters (including Young's modulus and loss factor) of the coating material through experiment. We derived an identification formula for extracting the mechanical parameters of small damping materials with consideration of the loss factor of metal substrate. Based on the identification formula, a practical methodology and relative test procedure for estimating mechanical parameters of hard-coating materials with strain-dependence were proposed. Then, a common hard-coating material NiCrAlY was taken as study case and its strain-dependence Young's modulus and loss factor were identified. The obtained mechanical parameters were inputted into the finite element model, the rationale was verified by a comparison of the finite element modal analysis and the experiments.
