Semiorders and thresholds of utility discrimination: Solving the Scott-Suppes representability problem

We find an internal characterization of the so-called Scott-Suppes representability of a semiorder, defined as the existence of a numerical representation for a semiorder through a real-valued utility function and a positive constant threshold of discrimination.
