摘要

The composites of hydroxyapatite (HA) coating/ titanium (or its alloys) are widely applied in orthopedic and dental clinics because of excellent mechanical properties of metals and surface bioactivity of HA. Many coating methods, such as the plasma spraying, are used to prepare orthopedic implants [1,2]. But the structure and phase composition of the plasma sprayed HA coatings are different from those of the natural bone and are difficult to be controlled at high temperature. Moreover, dissolution of HA coatings as well as cracking and separation from the metallic substrates remain a concern [3, 4].
