摘要

Local similarity solutions are obtained for the flow of water at 4℃ past a continuously moving semi-infinite plate in the upward direction. Velocity and temperature profiles are shown on graphs and the numerical values of {-f" (0)} and {-θ" (0)} are listed in a Table for both Gr/Re{sup}2 (≥ 0) (aiding or opposing flows). The effects of Gr/Re{sup2 (≥ 0) and viscous dissipative heat on the velocity and temperature field are discussed.
