The potimal position for the injection gate of a die-casting die

This study explores a computer integratedsystem application in the design of a die-castingmold,in order to enable accurate and fastdetermination of the optimal position for the materialinjection gate.Finite elements are used to find thedeformation of various sizes of thin shell piece,afterwhich a deformation learning prediction is made withan adductive network.A simulation annealing(SA)optimization algorithm with aperformance index is then applied to the neuralnetwork in order to search for the optimal positionof the injection gate,with quite satisfactory resultsbeing obtained.The system is capable of being appliedon the die,in order to reduce wastage on the cost trials of the die.
