摘要

In this paper, the results of numerical calculations of the forming of hollowed shafts with the use of three-rolls cross-wedge rolling method (CWR) are presented. The research aimed at confirming possibilities of application of this method in the production of hollowed shafts. During numerical calculations MSC.SuperForm 2002 and MSC.SuperForm 2004 were used. They allowed for analyzing the influence of charge and tools geometrical parameters on the forming process stability. The used numerical model of the process was experimentally verified for the case of the CWR realized with the used of two flat tools. On the basis of numerical calculations it was stated that the stability of three-rolls CWR process of hollowed shafts is much better then in the case of methods with two working tools.
