摘要

RAND Health is the nation's most trusted source of health policy research, with an international reputation for conducting policy-relevant research of the highest quality. At any given time, Healths more than 200professionals work in more than 300 projects across the health policy spectrum. Health reveals short, user-friendly Research Highlights, which are intended to disseminate research to professionals both inside and outside the health arena. Dr. Robert Brook, RAND vice president and director of RAND Health, has encouraged us to include Research Highlights of particular relevance in our journal. The highlight in this issue focuses on the use of alternative care settings as sites of care for illnesses currently being evaluated in emergency department settings. All RAND Health publications and Research Highlights are available at www.rand.org/health.
