Goldmann applanation tonometry and dynamic contour tonometry after treatment with prostaglandin analog/prostamide.

We read with interest the article by Detorakis et al regarding the larger difference in intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements with dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann appla-nation tonometry (GAT) in eyes treated with latanoprost (4.92 mm Hg, +- SD 6.42) compared with those that were not (1.79mm Hg, +- SD 2.97 in non-latanoprost-treated eyes; 2.88 mm Hg, +- SD 2.98 in untreated nonglaucoma-tous eyes). It is possible that the observed difference may not reach statistical significance if ocular biomechanical properties, such as corneal hysteresis (CH), were taken into consideration.
