20th Explosives Camp Held at Missouri S&T

Rolla, MO USA-The 20th explosives camp held at S&T was successfully completed June 17-22,2012. Eighteen high school students attended the six day camp, which comprises of a smorgasbord of explosives and pyrotechnics. The camp starts with stage pyro, ends with display fireworks and packs blasting, demolition and a whole host of other hands-on activities involving explosives in between. This was the third camp this June in what has grown from a single camp in 2005-The camp is a large part of the success of the S&T mining department in recruiting students into the mining and explosives industries. ested in a career involving explosives."
